The Docupace Executive Team offers a unique blend of technology expertise paired with financial services experience. In fact, the lessons learned through a collective 50+ years in the financial services industry inspired the Docupace workflow model. Inefficiency and unavoidable human error lead to inevitable high costs and slower business, and Docupace was created to offer the solution.
Michael Pinsker (President) grew up in Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, where he studied math from a very young age. In 1991, when he emigrated to the US, he turned that talent in mathematics towards focusing on technology and software development. Through projects with clients as diverse as Datamax Technologies, Unisys, and Paramount Pictures, Michael tested different workflow solutions and imaging strategies. This background and expertise led him to found Docupace in 2002, focusing on bringing those workflow solutions to the financial services arena in a unique “Software as a Service” model. By launching this innovative approach to workflow issues, Michael and Docupace hoped to provide the highest level of support and service at a reasonable price to truly make straight-through processing a reality for offices of any size.
Tom Embrogno (Executive Vice President) has a strong background in information technology and investment banking, allowing him to see first-hand the inefficiencies that are a typical part of traditional financial services business. Tom held positions as President and COO of a $60 million publicly traded technology company; COO of Tradeway Securities Group, a national investment banking firm; and SVP of the largest field marketing arm of The Hartford Insurance Company. In addition, he was an NASD licensed securities broker and held multiple licenses for trading and supervising stock, bond, and commodities transactions. At Exigen Group, Tom developed and brought to market the first SEC/NASD approved electronic document management and supervisory approval solution for the securities industry. As a co-founder of Docupace, his work developing the firm’s ePACS solution is a natural evolution of his 25+ years of in-depth industry knowledge.
Ron Willis (Chief Technology Officer) brings to the Docupace team a 20+year track record of leading major software development initiatives. His skill set ranges from programming and conceptual design to project management and ongoing operations. Ron has demonstrated ability to deliver highly complex, scalable, enterprise class applications on-time and on-budget. It is this focus that helped drive the Docupace model to achieve the goal of developing a cost-effective solution that could be implemented and utilized by broker-dealers of any size. Ron helps Docupace maintain a solution that has open architecture features and provides the most cost-effective pricing on the market.
Joel Friedman (VP, Operations and Client Support) supports field delivery through effectively managing large client implementations. Because the Docupace model is scalable to broker-dealers of any size, Joel helps to tailor the solution model to each client and ensures a level of ongoing support so that both home office and Representatives can see the immediate return on investment and benefits to using a system of straight-through processing that presents workflow solutions while avoiding human-error hang-ups. Joel has a 12+ year background in document management and workflow solutions, and uses this expertise to get every Docupace client comfortable with the service quickly and painlessly.
