Docupace's Capture Module delivers scalable, front-end capture functionality that allows organizations to efficiently and cost-effectively add documents anytime, anywhere, which can then be easily stored and retrieved. Some of the components and their main features:

Scanning

Leverages TWAAIN OR Kofax controls to integrate with the scanner- Docupace can integrate with virtually every type of scanner in the market
Supports remote and decentralized scanning- scan with as many scanners as you want from any location
Flexible options for remote scanning: Either index remotely in one central location or scan remotely and index centrally
Work with double side, multi-page documents
Support for annotation (redactions, sticky notes, text, hyperlinks, and basic drawing options)

Barcode

Use barcodes to pre-index documents saving time of indexling/filing from within the system
Text file output with the recognized barcodes that can be passed to any application for further processing

Flexible setup that allows for infinite number of combinations of barcode masks, image processing settings, and output file formatting.

Supports wide variety of barcode types: 3 of 9, 2 of 5, etc.

OCR (Optical Character Recognition)

Index in-bound scanned or faxed documents to make them searchable and retrievable

Full Text Search

Perform searches with any available index information

Retrieve all related images, files, data, and text with a single request

Conversion

Accepts TIFF, PCL, etc. as an input and produces secure, web--enabled, PDFs as the output

Export and Integration

Integrates with different document repositories whether it is a Docupace repository or customer defined repository.

Index and transfer documents from Docupace Capture System to a Docupace system repository or a Customer defined repository for future review and retrieval.

Auditing

Create audit trail through document and delivery history

Version control gives complete visibility to business file's lifecycle
